Empower
Call for Quotations – Project Empower (Żibel)
Project Empower is an initiative by Żibel aimed at tackling marine pollution and related waste management in Malta through education, capacity building, and collaboration. The project brings together public authorities, NGOs, and community members to strengthen understanding of marine litter issues and promote sustainable clean-up practices. Through workshops, online learning modules, and a hands-on clean-up event, Project Empower equips stakeholders with the tools and knowledge to drive lasting environmental change.
Call for Quotation A: Researcher
Żibel is inviting quotations from experienced researchers to support the implementation of Project Empower.
The selected researcher will be responsible for:

Conducting background research on marine pollution and waste management in Malta

Carrying out stakeholder mapping and needs assessments

Preparing a comprehensive engagement strategy

Collaborating with the Żibel team to develop workshop content and online learning modules aimed at strengthening capacity within the public sector and related organisations

Eligibility: Individuals or entities with relevant research and environmental project experience are invited to apply.
Evaluation: Quotations will be assessed based on experience, quality of approach, and value for money.
Project timeline: The assignment is expected to take place between November 2025 and February 2026.
Call for Quotation B: Videographer
Żibel is seeking quotations from professional videographers to produce high-quality video content as part of Project Empower.
The selected contractor will be responsible for:

Creating two instructional videos demonstrating how to carry out clean-ups on land and at sea, to be shared via Żibel’s YouTube channel

Producing a final closing video capturing the collective clean-up event, including participant testimonials and project highlights, to showcase the outcomes and impact of the initiative

Eligibility: Individuals or entities with proven experience in video production are invited to apply.
Evaluation: Quotations will be assessed based on portfolio quality, relevance, and cost-effectiveness.
Project timeline: The assignment is expected to take place between November 2025 and February 2026.
