Registered NGO · Malta · Since 2017
Reducing waste and restoring Malta's natural environments through clean-ups, ghost net recovery, education and community action.
We're a registered Voluntary Organisation and eNGO founded in 2017, with the aim of reducing the overall waste generated on our islands. Since then we've grown with the helpful hands of our team and thousands of volunteers.
Our end goal is simple: to see Malta flourish. To tackle waste, we join forces with anyone and everyone to clean up what's been done, spread awareness, and share all that we know for a brighter tomorrow.
Monthly coastal and underwater clean-ups open to the public. Our ongoing promise since day one, with 10,000+ volunteers since 2017.
Recovering lost and abandoned fishing gear that traps and kills marine life. Project Xibka is funded by the Beyond Plastic Med Foundation.
Spreading awareness about waste and its impact on marine species and habitats, engaging communities, schools, and stakeholders.
From Seabins and artificial reefs to bio-based plastics research, we work with industry, government and NGOs to drive systemic change.
